So, how does it work?
LOLA’s Washable Period Underwear is built to keep you dry, odor-free, and comfortable. Each pair of underwear has a “gusset” with a layered absorbent core designed to hold up to 3 regular tampons’ worth of liquid.
- The top layer keeps you dry by evenly spreading liquid from the top surface and pushing it to the middle layer.
- The middle layer is there to absorb liquid as soon as it makes contact.
- The bottom layer is breathable and liquid impermeable to keep you safe from leakage.
Care Instructions: Pre-rinse in cold water before use. Machine wash cold, gentle cycle with gentle detergent and similar colors. Tumble dry low. Do not soak, use stain removers, hot water, harsh detergents, bleach, or softeners.

I just got these and started wearing. The so far are great. Haven’t leaked. My question is on those heavy days do you still wear pads or liners like you normally would? This of course is also with a tampon?

I've only tried two brands of period underwear and have so far preferred Lola. The underwear is comfortable and I haven't had any issues with leaking. They wash well and I've worn them numerous times. If I could change anything - it's hard to tell how full the pad is to know if I need to change or if I have longer left I can wear them.

This is the first pair of period underwear I have tried and I love them! They are comfortable and don't feel bulky. I did manage to leak through them though, but caught it before it leaked onto my jeans, and thankfully I was home so it wasn't a big deal. I already bought a second pair of these! Great for the first or last day of a period when your flow is almost done.
